NEWLAND, Sarah was born 19 June 1804 and died 9 Aug 1877. She was the dau of Rev Charles Holliday, one of the pioneer preachers in the West...She was an intelligent Christian lady of the old school. She gave to the ministry one son, Rev W M Newland, of precious memory, who closed his labors a little less than a year before his honored mother. Her other children are all acceptable members of the Church. -MR Jones

Niedringhaus.—Chas. F. Niedringhaus, associated with Frank Koeneke in the drug brokerage business, died of heart disease March 18, at his home in St. Louis. Mr. Niedringhaus was born March 6, 1867, and spent all his life in St. Louis. He was for a number of years treasurer of the Moffitt West Drug Co.

North-Thomas Jefferson was born 29 Nov 1823, and died at Labadie, Franklin County, Missouri, 27 Mar 1877. He was a member of the Church about 34 years, and at the time of his death was Recording Steward of Labadie Circuit, He was a high toned, public spirited christian man (long eulogy)....his body was deposited in the Brown Family burning ground near Eureka in St. Louis County. May his mantle fall on some one of his nephews. |
