Mrs. Hattie Shore Walker, wife of Senator Charles J. Walker died at a Lutheran hospital in St. Louis August 25 after an illness of several months. Her age was 44 years, 10 months and 28 days. She leaves one daughter, four sons, a husband , mother, one sister, two brothers and a large circle of other relatives and friends to mourn her death. Her remains were shipped to this place Tuesday morning and conveyed to the M.E. Lutheran Church, south, of which she was a member, where funeral services were conducted by Rev. J.M. Major after which the interment took place in the city cemetery.

Westmoreland.—Dr. P. C. Westmoreland, for many years a traveling salesman for the Meyer Brothers Drug Co., of St. Louis, died February 12, at his home in Greenville, S. C.

Mrs. Elizabeth White, sister of Dr. J. C. Goodrich, died in St. Louis, age 61 years, on March 25. The body was taken to New Florence for burial.
