Bloomfield Vindicator, Bloomfield, MO. Jul 7, 1896 OBITUARY Died -- At his home
3 miles southeast of Acorn Ridge on July 10th, 1896, Benjamin F. Brydon. Mr.
Brydon was born in Franklin county, Ky., January 1st 1832. He resided for many
years in Hamilton county, Ill., removing to his late home in this county in
1891, where he bought a good farm and soon came to be recognized as one of our
best citizens. He was a man of sterling character, had long been a consistent
member of the Baptist church. He was the father of 13 children 10 of whom
survive him, his wife died years ago, 5 sons and one daughter living in this
county, they are all grown or nearly so, and are all first class men. The
remains were interred at the Flower cemetery in the presence of a large circle
of sorrowing relatives and friends. It was the pleasure of the editor to enjoy
an intimate friendship with deceased for 20 years, and there were few men whose
friendship was more highly valued, ever the same firm, positive and Christian
gentleman. To the family we extend our heartfelt sympathy in their day of grief.
