Annie Haran Tate
     Bernie,  Missouri
 
   Annie Haran Tate,  daughter of the late Sidney Meals and Nancy Lily James Meals was born at Cedar Grove,  Tennessee on August 14,  1906 and departed this life in the Dexter Memorial Hospital on August 11,  1996 at the age of 89 years,  11 months and 27 days.
   She was united in marriage to Homer F.  Tate Sr. at Henderson County,  Tennessee on September 13,  1925. To this union two children were born.  Mr. Tate preceded her in death on October 3,  1975.  She was also preceded in death other than her parents by one son,  Homer F. Tate Jr., by one great-great-grandson,  Matt Keck;  by 4 brothers,  Jim Meals,  Bill Meals,  Miles Meals, Basil Meals; by two sisters,  May Springer and Hester Herron.
Mrs.  Tate was a homemaker and had worked as a Battery Filler at a Textile Mill in Georgia.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bernie,  Missouri.
She is survived by one daughter,  Imogene Barnes of Bernie,  Missouri;  by three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; by two sisters,  Willie Barr and Beatrice Coffman both of Lexington,  Tennessee.  Also by other realtives and friends.
Friends may call at the Rainey Funeral Home in Bernie on Monday August 12,  1996 from 5:30 P.M.  to 8:00 P.M.  Funeral services will be conducted in the Rainey Chapel in Bernie on Tuesday afternoon August 13,  1996  at 2:00  P.M.  Rev. John Davis Pastor of the Bernie First Baptist Church officiating.  Inderment will follow the Bernie Cemetery.  Rainey Funeral Home of Bernie in charge of arrangements.
