Willie Sigman -
Willie Sigman was William Jennings Sigman, son of Marcus Lafayette and Ellen. E. (Volner) Sigman. He had diabetes
at the time little was known about the illness:
From the Elk Creek News article in The Cabool Enterprise, May 18, 1922:
Willie Sigman, who has been sick for some time died Sunday morning and was buried Monday afternoon at Elk Creek.
Funeral services conducted by J.W. Dickinson. While Willie had not been well for a couple of years no one realized
he was so much worse until
about a week before he died.
All that friends and relatives could do, was done for him, but nothing seemed to relieve his suffering. It
is hard to see one die so young, but our Greater doeth
all things well. The broken hearted parents, brothers and sisters have the sympathy of all.
