Keever, Artie Fox
TAYLORSVILLE - Artie Fox Keever, 93, of Rt. 6, Taylorsville, was dead on arrival at Alexander County Hospital at 7:15 p.m. Monday. She had been in failing health one year and seriously ill two weeks.
She was born in Alexander County on Sept. 26, 1885, to the late Jake Miller and Rebecca Fox Miller. Her husband, Cephus Keever, preceded her in death.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Liledoun Baptist Church in Alexander County, where she was a member. The Rev. Coy Walker and the Rev. Paul McAlpin will conduct the service. Burial will be in Friendship Lutheran Church cemetery in Alexander County.
The family will be at Adams Funeral Home in Taylorsville from 7 to 9 o'clock tonight.
Surviving are two sons, Roy Keever of Boone and Jack Keever of Rt. 6, Taylorsville; two daughters, Mrs. Vilee Starnes of Hickory and Eva Keever of Rt. 6, Taylorsville; 13 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
