Concord - James Frank Brown, 80 of 16 Douglas Ave. died at a local nursing home at 5:17 p.m. Wednesday after a lengthy illness.
     Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. William L. Pressley.  Burial will follow in Oakwood cemetery.  The body was to be taken from the funeral home to the home of a daughter, Mrs. Fred Cauble, 10 Douglas Ave. at 2 p.m. today.
     Mr. Brown was born in Iredell County September 4, 1885, son of the late Reid W. Brown and Mrs. Amanda E. Brown.  He was a retired textile worker and a member of the Coddle Creek ARP Church.  His wife Mrs. Sarah Rimmer Brown, died in 1960.
     Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Fred Cauble, Mrs. Rachel Love, Mrs. Robert Goodman and Mrs. Lois Stephens, all of Concord, one son, James
