John Henry McMullan, Jr., Democrat, Representative from Chowan County, was born at Hertford, N. C, August 13, 1882. Son of John Henry and Lina (Tucker) McMullan. Was educated at Edenton Academy, 1891-1899; University of North Carolina; University of North Carolina Law School, 1906. Automobile business. Mayor of Edenton, 1907. Town Attorney, 1910-1912. Chairman County Democratic Executive Committee, 1909-1915. Councilman and Mayor pro tern., Edenton, 1916-1918. D. K. E. Episcopalian. Address: Edenton, N. C.
