To any regular Minister of the Gospel having the cure of souls, of whatever Denomination; or to any Justice of the Peace of said County:
You, or any of you, are hereby authorized and empowered To celebrate and solemnize the rites of Matrimony between James Anderson (Col'd), son of George Anderson and Ann Anderson AND Mariah Clement (Col.), daughter of Brant Clemmons and Ester Williams and join them together as Man and Wife.
Witness, John Haines, Clerk of our said Court of Please and Quarter Sessions, at Office in Lexington, the 30th day of September, 1867, and in the ______ year of our Independence.

THIS CERTIFIES THAT James Anderson, Col, son of George Anderson and Ann Anderson, and Mariah Clement, Col., daughter of Briant Clement and Easter Wilson were, by me, united in the Bonds of Matrimony, on the 1st day of October A.D. 1867, conformably to the Ordinance of God and the Laws of the State.
