Obit: On Friday, July 29,2011 Sadie Brinkley Parks went home to be with the Lord.
Sadie was born to the late Alexander and Charlotte Stallings on November 2,1934 in Gates County, NC. Sadie joined Blanchard's Grove Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. She became the Mother of Church before her death serving as a Deaconess, Senior Choir member and assisted with Vacation Bible School while her health permitted.
Sadie was married to the late Billie J. Brinkley at an early age and borned 6 children. A few years ago God sent her a new mate, George Odell Parks whom she and the children loved dearly.
Sadie leaves to cherish her husband George Odell Parks of the home, three sons Roger Stallings and Irvin Brinkley of Hobbsville,NC; Vernon Brinkley of Sunbury, NC; Three daughters: Ruby (Willie) Holley of Hobbsville, NC; CurleyPhine (David) Beamon of Suffolk, VA; and Vickie Brinkley of Charlotte, NC. A grandson she raised in the home as her son Andre Brinkley of Newport News, VA; One stepdaughter, Wanda Parks of Chesapeake, VA. Two sisters: Doris Jordan and Evelyn Jones of Sunbury, NC; Two sister-in-laws: Eula Evans of Gatesville, NC; Lillie Bell Jordan of Waterbury , CT. 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Sadie was predeaced by 4 brothers: Willie, Hodge,Loden and Herman Stallings; 3 sisters: Victoria Jordan, Virgilia Parker and Annie Arline.
