MRS. SARAH B. TOOMBS BURIED SUNDAY MAY 22
Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Rutledge Toombs, 43, who was killed in an automobile accident near Oxford, N.C. Thursday, May 19, were held at 3 p.m.  Sunday at the Public Fork Christian Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She was a lifelong resident of Charlotte County (VA).
She is survived by a son, Carl Toombs, a daughter, Nancy;  her mother, Mrs. H.C. Rutledge, all of Red Oak;  two sisters, Mrs. Monroe Hardy, of Red Oak, and Mrs. Doyle Edgerton, of Chase City;  five brothers, Daniel, Johnnie, Billy, David and Thomas Rutledge, all of Red Oak.
