Four Army Funeral Monday; 3 Guardsmen and 1 Regular
Four Military funeral were held Monday from the parlors of the J. W. Peak undertaking company on Texas street.
The body of Lieut. William L. Armstrong, aged 33 years of company M, First North Carolina infantry, who died Saturday night was shipped to the former home of the deceased in High Point, N. C. at 3 o’clock.
Services for Sergt. Clyde L. Martin, aged 27 years, of the 13th cavalry, who died Saturday afternoon of pneumonia, were held at 12:15 o’clock, and the body sent to Fora, Ill., the former home of the deceased.
The body of Pvt. George Hargraves, aged 20 years, of company G, First Kentucky infantry, was shipped Monday afternoon to Mammoth Cave, Ky., for burial.
Services for Pvt. B. J. Ziegler, aged 26 years, of company M, Second South Carolina infantry, were held at 4:30 o’clock and the body sent to Elloree, S. C.
