Mr. James Roy ''J.R.'' Davis Jr. 71, of 2818 Masonic Dr. died May 19, 1993, in Carroll County, Ark. Funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home in Greensboro. Entombment will be in Westminster Gardens, Greensboro.
Visitation is 7 to 9 tonight.
Mr. Davis, a Greensboro native, was a retired Allison-Erwin Co. sales engineer. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of First Baptist Church in Greensboro. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Oasis Temple. He also was a member of Oriental Shrine Club, Scottish Rite Bodies and Corinthian Blue Lodge in Greensboro.
Survivors are his wife, Mildred; daughter, Mrs. Margaret Lund of Greensboro; mother, Ms. Fannie Davis of Greensboro; brothers, Phillip Davis, Howard Davis, both of Greensboro; sisters, Mrs. Margaret Summerfield of Chesapeake, Va., Mrs. Effie Summerfield of Titusville, Fla.; stepsons, Shawn Johnson of Knoxville, Tenn., Jerry Brown of Ramseur.
