Gaither, Margaret Mrs - age 82 years 5 months and 3 days. died Dec 25, 1917 at the home of her son in law Calvin Godbey at County Line. Buried at Salem Church in Davie Co. Survived by 3 daughters, Mrs Andy Stroud, Mrs, Wesley Cartner and Mrs Calvin Godbey and one son John Gaiter. Her husband Wiley Gaiter was killed in Civil War, being a widow for 50 years. She was left with 4 small children to raise, 3 girls and 1 boy.

Goforth, W. A. - age 77 years, Died Feb 24, 1918 at his home in Bloomfield in west Statesville. Survived by his wife and 3 children. Buried at Mt. Vernon Church.

Grant, Ada R Mrs. age 49 yrs. Daughter of A.T. Grant Sr. of Davie Co died Dec 7, 1917 at Long's Sanitaturium in Statesville. Surivived by his one brother and and two sisters. Buried at Mocksville.

FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS. DORA (TEAGUE) GRANT
The following death notice is taken from the Statesville, N.C. Landmark of August 3:
Funeral services for Mrs. Dora (Teague) Grant, who died Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, at the H.F. Long Hospital, were held Wednesday afternoon, at 2:30 o'clock with interment at the family burying ground at Pisgah church.
Pall-bearers were Max Teague, Lellion Mayberry, Junior Mayberry, Lonnie Mayberry, Hugh Chatham and Noble York.
Flowers were in charge of Mrs. J.A. Mayberry, Lizzie Nell Teague, Marie Mayberry, Helen Mayberry, Charlotte Mayberry, Elizabeth Teague, Mrs. J.N. Sherrill, Mrs. Glenn Barkley, Shirley Meadows; Mrs. Georgia Nelson, Mrs. F.S. Sprinkle, Mrs. Dave White, Mrs. Hugh Chatham, Mrs. Lois Barnhardt, Zolena Dagenhardt, Mrs. Hattie Grant.
Out of town relatives attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. U.G. Guffy, H. P. - age 42 years. A resident of Concord, died Jan. 1, 1918 at Long's Sanatorium in Statesville. Survived by his wife, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N. J. Gaither of Iredell and 2 daughters Misses Edith and Lois Guffy, his parents Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Guffy of Rowwan and a brother Rhodes Guffy of Spencer. Burial at Concord.
