Jones, Burgess E. - age 61 years born in Iredell Co. near Sherrills Ford Dec 6 ,1856, Died at his home in Guilford Co. Dec 29, 1917 In 1876 he married Miss Annie Holtshouser, daughter of the late Alexander Holtshouser of Davidson Township. His wife and 5 children survive; also 2 brothers Rev J.W. Jones of Mooresville and G P Jones of Wilmington and 4 sisters Mrs. B A Troutman ,Mrs Gilleland,Misses Mary and Nancy Jones of Mooresville; Capt H A chambers of Chattanooga, Tnn is a half brother . He moved from Iredell Co to Greensbore many years ago and was for a number of years sheriff of Guilford Co. Rev J W Joness of Mooresville was his brother.

Jones, O J Mrs. age 77 years,1 month 10 days- Died Feb 6,1918. Survived by 2 children, 2 sisters and 1 brother, Her daughter married T.V Foote who live in eastern part of the state. The son runs a store at Lone Hickory, Yadkin Co. where Mrs. Jones lived. One sister and a brother live in Ind. Buried at Sandy Springs.
