D Holland of Iredell, J.W., W. A. and E. M. Templeton of statesville; one brother J. W. Wells of Siloam, Surry Co. Buried at Union Grove Church in north Iredell.

Thompson, Carrie Mrs - age 77 years, wife of the late John Thompson, died Dec 21, 1917, at her home in Davidson in Meck Co. She was a aunt of Mrs. W F Hall of Statesville. Survived by 2 children William Thompson of Charlotte and Miss Hattie Thompson of Davidson.

Tomlin, Claude A- age 52 years, Died at his home in Olin Township. Feb 23, 1918 Son of the late A. C. Tomlin . Married twice, first to Miss Grace Stanford of Yadkin Co. and then to Mrs. Mattie Groves of Gastonia. His second wife along with 3 children; 2 sons by the first marriage and a daughter by the second survive. His mother Mrs. M. A. Tomlin and a brother N. D. Tomlin also survives. Buried at Snow Creek Church.

Turner, James Eugene - age 39 years, Died at his home in Charlotte July 17, 1917 Buried at Oakwood Cemetery in Statesville. Survived by his wife and 3 small daughters. Also surviving are sisters Mrs W. T. Nicholson, Mrs. P.F Laugenour and Miss Latonia Turner all of Statesville and Mrs William Fraley of Cool Springs Township. He was the son of the late J. Martin Turner. and was born in the River Hill section of Iredell Co. He was married to Miss Mabel Saunders, daughter of A .B Saunders of Statesville.
