Woodward, John H.
Died on the 15th of April, at John H. Woodward’s, Esq. near Statesville , Iredel county (N.C.), Mr. Henry Dillo, tanner, a native of Lancaster , aged about 50. Mr. D. was brought not far from the 15th of March, in a very feeble state of health to Mr. Woodward’s, by a man to whom he said he gave his last money. The night on which he arrived he became much worse and continued to grow weaker and weaker until he expired. It may be interesting to his friends, who, he said, now live in York county, Pa., to learn that although he was entirely destitute of money and property, eh was whilst at Mr. Woodward’s, treated with great humanity and kindness and was buried in a very decent manner. – West. Carolinian.
