Died in Beaufort Co.. 6 Oct. 1836. our aged friend the Rev Humphrey Wood. Born in Pasquotank Co.. N.C, he was ordained Deacon by Bishop Asbury in 1796. and Elder by the same in 1799. A wife and two children survive. (V. 1, no. 36. 11 November 1836. p. 144.)
