Obit: Friends in the community were saddened Friday (22 Apr 1927) on learning of the death of Miss Maisie Daniels, aged 28, which occurred Friday afternoon at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.B. Daniels, following an illness of 14 months.  Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Baptist church , conducted by the pastor, Rev. W.H. Hartsell.  The body was laid to rest in Gillespie cemetery in the presence of a host of sorrowing friends.
Miss Daniels bore her long months of suffering with marked patience and cheerfulness, and left many friends to mourn her loss.  She was a graduate of Biltmore Hospital and a member of the Biltmore Alumni Association.  She was a faithful and active member of the Baptist church up to the time of her illness.
Surviving are her parents, three sisters and two brothers, the sisters being, Mrs. J.E. Fleet and Mrs. John Coffman, of West Virginia, and Miss Beatrice Daniels of Brevard.  Brothers Buryl Daniels of Brevard and Lem Daniels of Pisgah Forest.
