Dakota Heroine Young, But Lots of Nerve.
Oriska, May 4.— We have a genuine heroine here, only sixteen years of age. At the burning of George Stillman's house, ten miles north of here, a few days ago, Miss Greens, a light-built girl, thought of two little children in bed, asleep, up stairs. She dashed into the fire, up stairs, pulled both children out of bed and started to return, but, oh, horror! The stairs were all ablaze, she came down half way, pitched the little ones through the fire into waiting arms, and then made a superhuman leap through the hissing flames, and reached the outside safely, but considerably burned on her face, arms and limbs, but she saved the children of her employer. She lost all her clothing, but the ladies will present her with a new wardrobe. Miss Greens is the heroine of North Dakota.
