Biographies
GEO. P. BOPE, Steele, of the twenty-sixth legislative district, was born at Bellevernon, O., January 5, 1862 and received his education in the common schools of Upper Sandusky. O. Came to North Dakota. April 7, 1886. He is married and has five children. He served one term as county commissioner, four terms as county auditor of Kidder county, and has held several minor offices. Was elected as a progressive (Roosevelt) republican.

SIDNEY F. SMITH, Steele, of the twenty-sixth legislative district, was born at Geneva, Ia., May 3, 1856. Received his education in the common schools of Iowa. Came to North Dakota in 1905 and engaged in the business of farming and stock raising. Has held a number of minor township and school district offices. He is married and has three children. Was elected representative as a republican.
