Miscellaneous News Stories



On Friday night last the second train load of colonists arrived. They are largely from Indiana, and they brought with them a great number of cars loaded with horses, farming implements, etc. Many have money with which to buy land, others intend to enter homesteads and still others will least improved farms during the coming season.

Bishop Edsall and Rev. C. Turner were unable owing to the lateness of the train to reach Rolla on March 27 as was intended. Services were however held at Cando on Tuesday evening, March 28, and were thoroughly enjoyed by those who were fortunate enough to be present.
