Edward Kenny
Pioneer North Dakota Priest Dies at Cando
Cando, N.D., Jan 26 - Father Edward Kenny, for the last four years pastor of the Sacred Heart church, at Cando, died here of heart trouble. The deceased was one of the most prominent priests in the state of North Dakota and Jan. 28 would have marked the 25th anniversary of the beginning of his work in North Dakota. He was born in Kilkenny, Ireland, 57 years ago, and came to North Dakota in 1885, when he took charge of the church at St. John, at Grafton, where he served for 20 years. The funeral services will be held here tormorrow.

William J. Sebring
William James Sebring was born in Ogden township, Michigan, April 1, 1878, and died in the Michigan State hospital, Kalamazoo, April 22, 1917, aged 39 years. He came to Blissfield with his parents when a small boy, and in 1902 took up a claim in North Dakota, and while there was married to Miss Alice Beekley of Cando, N.D. To them were born two children, one dying in infancy. In his life he was known as a temperate young man, of jovial disposition and pleasing personality, winning a host of friends. He is survived by his wife, one child, Arline Marie, father, mother, two sisters, Mrs. E.J. Parker of Detroit and Mrs. M.E. Davies of Youngstown, O., three brothers, Laverne of Adrian, Archie B., of Flint, and Ora Lee of Cleveland, O.
The following from out of town were in attendance at the funeral which was held from the home of his parents in Blissfield Thursday, April 26, at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. H.R. Beatty, I.B. Corbin and wife, Mrs. D.E. Corbin, Mrs. M.H. Miller and Mrs. Geo. Everetts of Delia, O.; Edgar Sebring and wife and Verne Sebring and wife of Adrian; Mr. and Mrs. Pliney Crockett, Pearley Sebring and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Sell of Ogden; Leo Sebring of Cleveland; Mr. and Mrs. Savoye and Marion Knight of Youngstown, O., and Mr. and Mrs. Parker of Detroit, Mich.
