Cities and Towns in County
County seat is Williston
Lake Sakakawea, a reservoir on the Missouri River, is situated on the southern boundary of the county. Little Muddy
Creek is entirely within Williams County. The confluence of the Yellowstone River with the Missouri is west of
Williston.
The Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site is located in Williams County along the Missouri River on the
Montana border.
