Snow fell her Sunday night
to a depth of three inches,
accompanied by a freeze.
Corn
and all green stuff is frozen.
About
one-half of the corn in the
county was matured, while the
rest will be soft.
The
range is quite green, but is
covered with snow, and is safe
for the present.

Neb., Oct. 4 – The populists of Banner
county held their convention inHarrisburg
Saturday, September 31, and nominated for county attorney the present county
superintendent, A. S. Alexander; for sheriff, John R. Kelly; for county
commissioner, E. M. White.
Sheriff
Kelly lost his barn together with his entire crop by fire Friday of last week.
Judge
Grimes ofNorth Platte will deliver
a lecture here in interest of the A.O.U.W. lodge on Friday evening, October 7.
