 Pioneer Woman Called

Mrs. Maria Louise Mullen passed away at her home in Weeping Water on last Monday evening, after a lingering illness, and of which she suffered a great deal.

She had made her home with her son, George Mullen, since the death of the father some seven years ago. The son had made a good living for the mother, as he could and which was duly appreciated by the mother.

She was a widow of a veteran of the Civil War and was receiving a pension, which assisted in the living of her and her son.

The funeral was held last Tuesday and interment made at the city cemetery.

Mrs. Mullen affiliated with the Methodist Church, the funeral being preached by the minister of the Methodist Church.
