Mr. and Mrs. Henry C. Griess, 2001 So. 27th, have received word of the
safe arrival of their son, Pfc. Otto B. Griess, in England. A member of the army
air forces, he was inducted into the army Dec. 29, 1912 [error], and received
training in Florida and at Lowry Field. He was graduated from the University of
Nebraska in 1941 and majored in geology. Since graduation he had worked as a
geologist in Nicaragua and later was in Omaha.

Cpl. Otto B. Griess, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Henry C. Griess, 3116 Randolph, returned to Lincoln Dec. 22 for a furlough. He
has been in the army air corps over three years and saw service with the Eighth
air corps in England and the Ninth air corps on the continent for over 26
months. He is a 1941 graduate of the University of Nebraska. [Otto Bruno
