CUSTER COUNTY NEBRASKA



Custer County was organized by a legislative act on February 17, 1877 and was named after General George Armstrong Custer. Measuring 54 by 48 miles, Custer withstood several attempts at division. It is almost exactly in the center of the state, containing 72 townships and eleven incorporated cities and town.
