Printed in the Benkelman, NE Post, July 1974 Brent Lee Trosper, three-year-old son of Connie Bowers Trosper and John Roger Trosper of Denver, passed away at Children's Hospital in Denver on Thursday after a long illness with leukemia. Funeral services were held at the Zion Lutheran Church in Benkelman on Monday morning with Pastor Otto L. Zeilinger officiating. Mrs. Jackie Wilson was the organist and Edwina Roesener and Howard Ochsner the singers. Casket bearers were Robert and Leslie Baney, Victor Kisela and Ray Bowers. Interment was in the Benkelman Cemetery. The Jones Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. Brent Lee Trosper, son of John Roger Trosper and his wife Connie Bowers-Trosper, was born August 14, 1970 at Denver, Colorado. He was baptised in infancy by Pastor Danielson at Zion Lutheran, Benkelman, Nebraska. The little child enjoyed games using his vivid imagination and was very content to entertain himself and enjoyed TV. He also faithfully said his prayers each night upon retiring. Last Thursday, June 27th he was relieved of his cross at Children's Hospital in Denver, Colorado. Survivors are his parents of Denver; a sister, Dana Lynn; grandparents, Lee and Hilda Bowers of Benkelman. and Richard and Virginia Trosper of Montrose, Colorado; great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Kisela, Stratton, Mrs. Zetta Bowers of Benkelman and Mrs. Gladys Trosper, Boulder, Colorado; Captain Tom and Karen Crumal, Woodbridge, Virginia; Skip and Kay Clark, Port Lavoca, Texas and Jim and Peggy Snyder, Montrose, Colorado, his uncles and aunts.
