Bennett Family

Five Generations on Mother's Side and Four on Father's Side

Two boys at Riverton, Nebraska hold the record for living ancestors.

What is believed to be the record for living generations of a family is that held by immediate surviving; progenitors.

Marvin and Melvin Bennett, two little chaps, the children of Mr. and Mrs. Perry Bennett, at Riverton, Nebraska.

The eldest of these children is 2 years and 1 month, and the youngest was born on Thanksgiving Day, 1907.

The Great Great Grandparent is 86 years of age.

To simplify a proposition which to one not familiar with the process of figuring out a family tree is difficult, there

are five generations represented among the living on the mother's side and four on the father's side.

These two babies have the distinction of possessing a Great Great Grandfather, four Great Grandmothers and two

      Great Grand fathers, all living.

The conclusions are somewhat bewildering until one traces the family through the different generations. In all these ramifications of the family tree these (illegible) marriage, and the descent may be traced with ease by the ordinary

      layman.

Here are the different generations as they are represented among the living today:

Mrs. Joshua Martin, Great Grandmother                      64

Mrs. Sarah Bennett Warner, Great Grandmother          71

Mrs. Elizabeth Dalrymple, Great Grandmother      75

Eli Bennett, Grandfather                                               52

Mrs. Eli Bennett, Grandmother.                                    48

Luther Martin, Grandfather                                          46

Mrs. Luther Martin, Grandmother                                43

Mrs. Josie Bennett, Mother                                         19

Mr. M. C. Bennett, Father                                           24

With this record for living ancestors the two little babies at Riverton are bright, promising youths and should they

marry at 18 years, and should Mr. Neal survive until his 105th year, there might be a Great Great Great Grandfather

      on the list.
