Burning Of a Court House

Nebraska Officials May Investigate the Gosper County Fire

Lincoln, Nebraska, December 6,—The state house officials have evidence which seems to warrant an investigation of the burning of the Gosper county court house at Elwood early in November.

According to the report of C. A. McCloud, state examiner of county treasuries, he was examining: the books of W. E. Aldrich, the treasurer, the day before the fire. After he left in the evening Aldrich returned to his office with his clerk and worked late into the night.

In the early morning the court house burned.   Many of the books were lost in the fire, but a few were saved and Examiner McCloud is continuing the investigation.

No arrests have been made.
