Oldest Man
Scotia Centenarian Who Says He Never Drank, Swore or Used Tobacco
Andrew Gillespie of Scotia, Neb. holds the banner. He is one hundred years old. He has never tasted intoxicating liquor, has never used an oath, and never used tobacco in any form. He is a little hard of hearing, but can see to read without glasses.
He is the father of 15 children of whom seven are living. He has fifty seven grandchildren and one hundred great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Gillespie joined the Methodist church when he was fourteen years old, making him a member of that church for eighty-six years, probably the oldest living Methodist in the United States.
Mr. Gillespie has lived an interesting and at times very exciting life. — Falls City Journal.
