Barnes Reunion
Barnes ~ McDonald Families
The Scotia Community Center was the site of the Barnes cousins family reunion Sunday, Sept. 24. Sixty-five people enjoyed the carry-in dinner and the afternoon of introductions and telling the group about themselves and their families. Letters were read from families unable to attend. The reunion was for the family members of the 12 children of James Franklin and Alice Elizabeth Barnes.
Only one member of the 12 children is living but was unable to attend. He is Ellis (Pete) Barnes of Central City. He is 92 years old and lives in his own home with his son. Zena Barnes is the only living spouse of the senior family and she was present.
Pictures of the original family were on display of both sides of the Barnes and McDonald families.
