Mrs. Robert Mitchell

Aurora, Nebraska, January 27. -- Mrs. Robert Mitchell of Aurora died Monday night of peritonitis. She had been sick only a week.
The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon from the United Brethren Church, Revs. Walter Smith and Jerry Starkey officiating.

Homer Barbee 
Aurora,
Neb., Aug. 5. – Homer Barbee, a young man
about 21 years of age, who with several other young men from here had gone to
Lushton on a fishing expedition and pleasure tour, while in bathing yesterday
morning, was drowned at that place. His body was recovered and brought home for
burial last night. His father, who was one of the wealthiest farmers in this
section, died about two years ago. Mrs. Barbee, his mother, and his sister are
prostrated with grief at his untimely and sudden death. The funeral will be in
charge of the Modern Woodmen of America, of which the deceased was a member in
good standing.

– Funeral services were held here Sunday for Robert Day, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Walter S. Day of this city, who died of wounds received in the Argonne
Forest Offensive.

– Masons had charge of the funeral of Martin V. Hannawald, for many years a
resident of Hamilton County and a
member of that order for a half century. He died at Bridgeport.
