To the Editor.—
Please insert the following notice:
A committee has been a appointed by the
commissioners of Hayes County, Nebraska, to solicit and distribute aid
for the drought sufferers.
After
two years of entire failure of crops the county finds its people in a very
destitute
circumstances. The necessaries of life are lacking, especially provisions and fuel.
Anything that can be sent to this committee will be gladly and
Thankfully received and
judiciously
distributed.
All things
sent to this committee should be marked and billed to Hayes County Relief Committee,
Palisade, Nebraska, in care of L. P. Ludden, Lincoln, Nebraska
