Quite an interesting case is now awaiting decision before the courts of Howard county, Nebraska.

Thomas Welsh, a thrifty farmer of that county, is the father of a lass whose winning smile long since captivated a son of a miller in a neighboring town.

Christmas time Mr. Welsh invited his future son in-law to spend a few days at his house. The young man not only accepted the invitation, but stayed at the house until a week or ago, when he informed his host that he didn't care about marrying his daughter, and asked that the engagement be cancelled, Mr. Welsh now sues for the cost of board, fuel and lights, consumed by the young man while sparking the daughter.
