Hildrebrandt Cemetery is located in Section 14, Cub Creek Precinct. From Fairbury, go east on Hwy 136 to about 2 miles east of Jansen. Turn north on 575th Ave (Cub Creek Recreation road) and continue for about 2 1/4 miles. The cemetery sits on the west side of the road. This cemetery looks as if it is mowed occasionally, and some care has been taken to place most of the fallen stones on slabs of concrete. It is fenced off from the surrounding pasture but is ungated to allow access. Visited & photographed in June 2008. The headstone for Maria Ens was not found in 2008, her information was taken from the 1983 cemetery book. Except for Maria, none of the Brandt stones had surnames and that information was also taken from the cemetery publication. Click on an underlined name to view photos.
