Gathering in Force
Fairbury, Neb., March 5 - Special The speakers are General T. E. Moore, their great leader: Colonel Price, their star of Nebraska, and Major Foltz, a reformed drunkard. Dr. Dodge, Deputy Grand Master, went down to Steele City Tuesday evening and presided at the installation of the Odd Fellows Lodge at that place. He was accompanied by Lew Davis, Sam Evans, AL Lyons and Jim Robinson, other good brethren of the order.

At the close of the morning service at the Presbyterian church last Sunday, Rev. Walkinshaw tendered his resignation as pastor, to take effect at the next regular meeting of the Presbytery in April. Mr. Walkinshaw gives as his reason: "Opposition from the same parties who sent away a former pastor, and, owing to removals from our bounds, the reported inability by the board of trustees to raise in the future the promised salary."

MWA Elect Officers
At the regular meeting Wednesday evening Fairbury camp 1867, Modern Woodman of America, the following officers were elected for the coming year; R. Clement Harriss was elected Venerable Consul; O.H. Bonney, Worthy Advisor; J.A. Axtell, Clerk, D.E. Bone, Banker; Geo Weerts, Escort, J.S. Freller, Watchman; Wm Richardson, Sentry; O.L.
