Anna Hildebrandt
Mrs. Anna Hildebrandt of Jansen died Monday night, October 13, 1930, at the age of 84 years, 11 months and 14 days. She had lived in the Jansen vicinity for a long time. Peter Hildebrandt
Peter Hildebrandt, long time resident of the Jansen vicinity, died of heart failure at a Beatrice hospital Monday Nov. 8, 1926 at the age of 82 years, 9 months and 16 days. Mr. Hildebrant was born in Russia, Jan. 14, 1844. He was one of the well-to-do Mennonites who came to this country in 1847. He lived on his farm 2 miles east and 3 miles north of Jansen 52 years. He had not been active in farming for the past 40 years, but had devoted his time to managing his estate. He had been in poor health for the past two months. He leaves his widow and three adopted children, George D. Friesen, who lives on the home place, Mrs. John A. Wiens and Mrs. Jake Reimer, both of Jansen. The funeral services were held from the home, Sunday afternoon, and interment in a private cemetery about half a mile south. [The Fairbury Journal, Thursday, November 18, 1926]
