Christena Killer

Word was received here of the death of Mrs. Christena Killer, who died at the home of her son at Colony, Okla. The remains will be brought here for burial. Funeral services Sunday at 1:30 at the home of L.K. Killer. Interment in the cemetery 4 miles southwest of town.

Christena Keonig Killer was born in Niederoberleiden, Kreis Alsfeldt, Hesse-Darmstadt, Germany March 11, 1842, and died at the homeof her son John at Cloud Chief, Okla. Dec. 15, of heart failure, age 68 years, 8 months, and 20 days. She came with her parents from Germany to Hanover, Canada, in 1853 and was married to John Killer Nov. 5, 1857. To this union were born five daughters and four sons. She came to Neb. in 1883 and settled on a farm four miles west of town. Her husband preceeded her in death some twenty years ago. She leaves to mourn her departure John and Henry and Mrs. Christena Klein and Mrs. Matilda Durkson of Cloud Chief, Okla., Wm. of Lindsay, Okla. and Louis and Mrs. Mary Megli of this place all of whom were present at the funeral, also three brothers and one sister, Mrs. John Nispel and John Koenig of Plymouth and Henry and Wiegand Koenig of Ayton, Can., twenty grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mrs. Killer was a kind and sympathetic woman, a devout christian and well beloved by all who knew her.

The funeral services were conducted from the Evangelical church southwest of town by Rev. F. Becker. Interment was made in the Evangelical cemetery.

Elizabeth Killer

Elizabeth Killer, daughter of Mrs. Christina Killer, died at 4 o'clock Friday morning, the funeral will be held in the Evangelical church two miles southwest of town Sunday afternoon.

Died-December 11, 1903 Elizabeth Killer daughter of Mrs. Christina Killer, went to her heavenly home after an affliction of more than 17 years which has been borne with christian fortitude.

Lizzie Killer was born in Asfeldt Ont March 10, 1871, aged 32 years 9 months and 1 day old. And since she was fifteen has been as one "shut in". She leaves four brothers and three sisters to mourn her loss. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. A. Kernster at the Evangelical church four miles southwest of town Sunday afternoon burial in the cemetery near the church.
