    Relief Bonds Defeated

    Springview, Neb., Feb. 21 -- At an election held in this county, Keya Paha, Tuesday for the purpose of voting bonds

    to the amount of $10,000 to aid the farmers in procuring seed and feed, as contemplated in house bill no. 1, the

    proportion was defeated overshelmingly.

     

    By a close estimate there ar 600 farmers in this county who will need assistance to procure seed.

    Irrigation Plans   

     

    There is a big scheme on foot now, which, if carried out successfully, will irrigate nearly every foot of this county, and with irrigation it will be one of the richest counties in the state.

    State VS G. E. Porter   

     

     

    Court will convene her September  24.  The most important case of the docket is that of the state vs G. E. Porter, charged with the murder of Woodfork last June.

     

    M. F. and J. J. Harrington of O'Neill and W. C. Brown of this place have been engaged to defend him.
