Kansas City, Mo, March 15 – A special to the Times from Bloomfield, Neb says:
A murder which was committed here this afternoon at 3:30 was followed thirty minutes later by the lynching of the murderer. J.
Stratton entered the butcher shop of W. W. Lewis, sat reading a
newspaper, with a simple announcement that he had been looking for Lewis
three days.
He began shooting and following Lewis up, as he groped his way into the house, where he died instantly. Stratton was at once arrested, and in half an hour he was taken out by a
masked mob and hanged. No cause for the murder can be assigned.
