LOUP COUNTY FAIR CELEBRATES 125 YEARS

Loup County celebrated the 125th anniversary of the Loup County Fair on August 8, 2008.
It was a wonderful event that was well attended.  Some of the highlights of the event were as follows:

The Quasquicentennial Royalty was crowned on August 8, 2008

King: "Pep" Garska
Queen: Gladys Jarvis Hyde
1st runners up: Jesse Sandoz and Ruby Wurst Sheldon
2nd runners up: Kenneth Ferguson and Dorothy Drake Pollard.
Other attendants were: Myra Moon, Bonnie Palmer Dunbar, Jack Messersmith
Clarence "Rip" Prickett and Ivan Ferguson


On Saturday night seven families were honored for having at least four generations all currently living in Loup County.  Those receiving recognition were:

The Willis and Enola Dunbar Family
The Doris Morgan Family
The Eula Scherzberg Family
The Elva Stevens Family
The Alice Tracy Family
The Donna Turner Family
and
The Pat Watson Family.

Congratulations to Loup County for achieving this milestone birthday!!!!
