Johannes Nilsson came to
America from Sweden and settled near Newman Grove, Madison County,
Nebraska.
He married Clara Sophia Carlström 06
Feb 1889, and had a large
family, eleven children. One infant died.
A
number of his brothers and
sisters also came from Sweden, but only twoare known, Josef and Vendla and a
third believed to have been a sister, Annett C Nelson Sederborg.
His
name was Anglicized to John Nelson. His immigration record reads
