Annual Reunion
On July 4, 1944 (Tuesday) the
eleventh annual reunion of the Lewis Family was held in the Baptist
Church
parlors.
Dinner was served to
twenty-seven.
After dinner the following
program was presented:
Solo – Joan Carol Wheeler
Solo – Elaine Winter –
accompanist, Margaret Winter Mosley
Piano Solo – Mary Ellen Armour
Solo – Jessie Lewis Aukes
Whistling Solo – Lois Winter –
accompanist, Mrs. Fred Winter
A very interesting letter from
Captain Tom Plummer describing his trip to the Holy Land
was read by Mrs. W. A. Wilkin.
Letters of greeting were
read.

It was moved by Will Winter that
Mrs. W. A. Wilkin of David
City serve as the speaker
of these meetings.
Motion carried.
The family history of 1944 was
given by Nell Winter Andreas.
It was moved by Fred Winter that
L. L. Lewis serve as president and Lewis Winter as vice-president the coming
year. Motion carried.
Speeches were made by Rev. W. A.
Wilkin, Will Winter and others.
A beautiful candle lighting
service in honor of our men in the armed forces was presented by Lois and
Elaine Winter.
