Annual Reunion
The reunion of the Lewis family was held Tuesday, July 4th
in the Baptist Church parlors.
Mrs. Fred Winter returned thanks before the usual fried
chicken dinner was served. Twenty five
members were in attendance.
Margaret Mosley and Betty Freeborn were in charge of program
which was opened by singing, “America”
and a prayer by Sadie Winter.
Pam and Jeff Winger sang a duet (Marvel at piano).
Cindy Wilkin sang a solo – Ruth Wilkin accompanying her.

Ruth Wilkin told of Naomi’s illness.
Jeanie Freeborn who will be a Lincoln General
Hospital graduate in
August spoke about fallout shelters.
A song session was led by Ruth Wilkin.
Letter was read from Mrs. Earl Wheeler (daughter of Link
Lewis, saying that Lena Wheeler had fallen and injured herself.
It was announced that Jessie Freeborn and Pam Stevens were
to be married in September, and that her sister Kathy, a June graduate of Doane College
was in Jasper together with the Doane singers entertaining service personnel.
Alvena reported that a son James Scott Lannom was born
August 14, 1966.
Winter was married in March.
She also reported that their son and family Fred had visited them in May
and that their daughter Lois who teaches in California had also been here.
