8th Annual Reunion

 

The eighth annual reunion of the Lewis Family was held in the Baptist church parlors, Friday 4th 1941.

 

At one o’clock dinner was served to forty-eight.

 

Ruth Wilkin led the group singing.

 

Richard Winter had charge of the following program:

 

Piano solo “Glissando Mazurka” – Mary Ellen Armour

Solo “Kind Hearts” – Claudine Wheeler, accompanied by Joan Carole Wheeler

Duet “Honor The U.S.A.” – Margaret and Lewis Winter, Junior, accompanied by Elaine Winter

Solo “The Hut-Sut Song” – Frederick Dale Winter

Piano Solo “La Sazarita” – Joan Carole  Wheeler

Vocal Numbers “Thank God for the Flowers” and “When Day is Done” – Jessie Lewis Aukes

Whistling Solos “The Thing I Love” and “Two Hearts That Pass in the Night” – Lois Winter

Trombone Solos “I Love Life” and “Hot Trombone” – Lewis Aukes

Solos “Merrily WE Roll Along” and “Little Tom Tinker” – Sherrill Wheeler

Recitation “Tom a Little Boy” – Rolland Dale Winter

Duet “Joshua Wins the Battle” – Fred and Ruth Wilkin

Mrs. Fred Winter presided at the piano.

Mrs. Andreas gave a brief history of the family for the years 1940-41.

 

Motion pictures of the group were taken by Fred Winter.

 

Following the supper hour, the group went to the Fred Winter home where motion pictures were

shown by Mr. Winter.
