B. Cornish, Nonagenarian, Dies at Son’s Home Near Gretna

B. Cornish, aged 93 years, a native of the interior of New York, died of old age at the residence of his son, Marcus H. Cornish, two miles from Gretna, Neb., Tuesday. His funeral will be held this afternoon at 2 o’clock from the residence of his daughter, Mrs. A.J. Harmon, 814 Pierce street, this city. Mr. Cornish had been a resident of Nebraska about eight years, coming from Onondaga county, New York. He resided until a year ago with his daughter, Mrs. Harmon, in this city, when he went to Gretna. Notwithstanding his great age, he was apparently hearty up to within a short time of his death.

Mr. Cornish leaves a family of six children, eighteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. His children are Marcus H. Cornish of Gretna, Gustavus M. Cornish of New York City, Isaac B. Cornish, who lives near Springfield, Neb.; Mrs. A.J. Harmon and Mrs. William Pierce of this city, and Mrs. J.T. Taylor of Denver.
