Gretna Woman, Mother of Eleven, Dies Here
Mrs. Mary Dohse, 48, wife of Henry J. Dohse, farmer near Gretna, Neb., died Sunday afternoon at a hospital here following an operation. She had been ill for about a year.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Dohse is survived by seven daughters, Mrs. William Hanann of Elkhorn, Mrs. William Bolte of Blair, and Mrs. Herman Doose, Hilda, Elvera, Hazel and Leona Dohse of Gretna; and four sons, Harry, Albert, Arthur and Melvin of Gretna. Funeral arrangements have not been made as yet.
At the time Mrs. Dohse was undergoing the operation here Saturday, her son, Melvin, was thrown from a horse on the Dohse farm and was severely injured, his skull being fractured in three places. He was brought to St. Joseph’s hospital here.
