Death of Augustus Keene
In the death of Augustus B. Keene, another one of Omaha’s oldest settlers passes away. Mr. Keene died May 10th at 11 o’clock p.m. after a long and painful illness of one year. He leaves to mourn his loss four sons, two daughters and a widow who have the sympathies of a host of friends in their irreparable affliction.
Mr. Keene came to Omaha in 1865, residing most of the time in Douglas and Sarpy counties.
He died in his seventieth year. He was a member of the Congregational church for nearly half a century. Funeral services this afternoon at 2 o’clock p.m. from the residence of W.T. Thomas, 967 Sixteenth street.
